Technical & Visual Assessment

• Technical Grade: Very Fine (VF 20 – VF 25)

• Preservation Highlights:

  • Paper Body & Structure: Sound, fibrous paper body with solid structural integrity throughout.

  • Margins & Edges: Complete, unclipped margins on all sides. Note a small natural paper bite / tiny notch on the bottom margin edge (visible on the top right when viewed upside-down in the obverse photo), but otherwise free of tears or internal splits.

  • Folds & Handling: Shows gentle commercial handling with a light vertical center fold and minor handling softening, but lies flat without severe creasing.

  • Surface Toning: Natural, uniform warm age-toning typical of unwashed 1914–1915 revolutionary paper.

  • Print Contrast: Excellent ink saturation on the slate-blue engraved plate. The red serials 3027898 and reverse S-XONI / Tesorería General stamps are vivid and completely legible.
