• Preservation Highlights:

  • Paper Body: Solid, original fibrous paper with good crispness and firm body throughout.

  • Margins & Borders: Full, complete margins on all four sides. Sharp corners with no edge tears, missing paper chunks, or pinholes.

  • Folds & Handling: Shows a single vertical center fold and light secondary field waviness from wartime handling, but lies flat and clean.

  • Surface Condition: Light, even cream-colored age toning across the borders. No heavy foxing, water stains, or pencil marks.

  • Stamping Clarity: Strong, vivid strikes. This note carries the full triad of official red re-validation markings: the Treasury cachet, the MPW-A control code, and the clear 4-1-15 military emission date stamp.
