Technical & Visual Assessment

• Technical Grade: Very Fine (VF 20 – VF 25)

• Preservation Highlights:

  • Paper Integrity: Sound, fibrous paper body with good crispness and firmness intact.

  • Margins & Borders: Clean, full margins all the way around with square, intact corners and zero edge tears or margin splits.

  • Folds & Handling: Displays a distinct vertical center fold and light secondary handling waves, but lies flat without severe creasing.

  • Surface Condition: Uniform, light cream natural age-toning. A small spot of light brown surface foxing appears on the obverse above the center upper banner (Gobernador signature area).

  • Stamping Clarity: Exceptional reverse markings. Unlike the plain-back varieties, this note retains all three official red verification stamps: the Treasury seal, the Y-XMJ control code, and the clear 4-1-15 military emission datestamp.
